Test time!

You’re a visitor in the lobby of a building and the security guard tells you to go through the gate. Which way do you enter?

Which one is it?   or   Which one is it?

(I know, I know – these are pics of subway entrances, but with the heightened security measures in NYC, building entrances are nowhere to be found!)

If you chose the second picture, congratulations! You are one of the only people who won’t get a painful abdominal bruising by trying to get through the turnstile without an ID card. Our building has both – the gate is used for people in wheelchairs or who are using dollies, as well as visitors. There are a lot of visitors to our building, as the company I work for holds seminars. As a public service, I feel the need to point out the following:

A turnstile has arms. A gate has a flat surface. Please be careful when choosing. Thank you.
