Just a thought
Wouldn’t it be great if exercising your mind burned calories? All the years I’ve subscribed to Games Magazine and Games World of Puzzles would result in a svelte size 8. The addictiveness of Conceptis Tech puzzles would mean I could walk into any boutique and fit into any outfit. I’d still go to the gym occasionally (maybe even more than I do now) but it would be to release the endorphins and get that heady rush, not to try to lose inches.
There would be hope for us overweight intellectuals who would rather curl up with a good book than run a mile. We’re not rotting our brains with television (although sometimes a good rot is needed). We have this added stress of wanting to lose weight while really (really really) wanting to break open that new book we got from the library.
Sadly, physics is lacking in this capacity. Science, you’re letting me down. Forget diet pills and lose weight fast “technology”, start working on a way to let the thinkers of the world fit into smaller pants.
Too bad America would still be obese, but that’s another topic for another time…

Sounds like something Rodney McKay would say, Alex… *innocent whistling*

Dr. Meredith Rodney McKay (a.k.a. Rodney McKay) is a fictional character in the science fiction television series Stargate Atlantis played by David Hewlett. …just like a guy named Adam to use this analogy: go ahead, Alex, and whistle all you please!
