A line or two…

— Posted by Leshka at 8:48 pm

OK, I just e-mailed a childhood friend asking her to pretty please update her online journal “for me” and that I would write a few lines “for her”.

Well, she did, so I am. If there are people out there you haven’t spoken to in years, Google them (or MySpace them, or whatever you kids do nowadays) and see if you can figure out what’s going on with them. No it’s not stalking. If they have blogs (and who doesn’t now?) make a comment on a post. That way you might find someone you haven’t seen in almost 15 years (!)

BTW, Alison Bechdel, who does the really cool comic strip Dykes To Watch Out For, has a new graphic memoir out called “Fun Home”. I have a huge project/reading list right now, but I am planning to get it. If you’re not familiar with her work, check out the archived comic “episodes”. She’s also featured in Funny Times.

Oh, and Tash, I *love* kicking booty!

Black Hole

— Posted by Leshka at 9:40 pm

Just a quick post to say that if you want a stupidly good time, go see the TV movie Black Hole. It’s starring Kristy Swanson (of Buffy movie fame) and Judd Nelson (of Breakfast Club and crappy TV movie fame) and it’ll probably be playing on the SciFi channel forever and ever.

This movie starts out with a bang and only gets “better” from there. Usually I really don’t like these movies at all, but this movie is so bad it’s, well it’ll never be good, but close enough.

Now granted, I’m still watching it, and it’s only been a half-hour. But I have a “good” feeling about it.

Remember, “a black hole is not an ordinary object that you can drop a bomb on and destroy.”
